TJ Shackelton is a freelance Lighting Designer, Scenic Designer, Stage Manager, and Technician based in Las Vegas and Reno, Nevada. He is expected to graduate from the University of Nevada, Reno, in 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre focusing on Theatre Design & Technology. At the University of Nevada, Reno, TJ has stage managed The Laramie Project by Moises Kaufman and the Tectonic Theater Project, and done the lighting design for Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. Outside of the University, TJ has stage managed Something Rotten! by John O'Farrell and American Foursquare by Nicholas Hulstine at Goodluck Macbeth Theatre Company. In his work, TJ strives to create inclusive and fulfilling pieces of art that everyone inside and out of the production has an opportunity to enjoy.
